Terms of Service

Last updated: July 24, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of My County Records (the "Service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or purchasing a record, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

My County Records lets buyers search and purchase copies of public records โ€” deeds, liens, judgments, and other filings โ€” sourced from official county recorders. All records offered for sale are drawn from public sources.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@mycountyrecords.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Purchases

Prices are listed per record. Payment is due at checkout. Once an order is placed, the fulfillment pipeline verifies each record, retrieves the source document, runs OCR, extracts structured data, and delivers a clean PDF plus a structured data view. Delivery time varies with order size and is typically minutes to a few hours.

4. What you're buying

You are buying a curated copy of a public record along with our extraction and delivery service. You are not buying exclusive rights to the underlying record โ€” it remains in the public domain. You may use purchased records for lawful business or personal purposes.

5. Prohibited uses

You will not (a) use purchased records to unlawfully harass, stalk, or defraud any person, (b) violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA") โ€” records are not "consumer reports" and may not be used for credit, insurance, employment, or housing decisions, (c) redistribute records via bulk resale platforms, or (d) reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise attempt to circumvent access controls on the Service.

6. Refunds

Fulfillment sometimes fails โ€” an image may become inaccessible, or extraction may not succeed. Failed records on any order are refunded automatically. See our Refund Policy for details.

7. Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not warrant uninterrupted access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". Extracted data is generated by automated OCR and structured extraction and may contain errors. Verify anything you rely on against the source PDF. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
